As every year this year too Miss Kerala received a terrific response from applicants all over. The Preliminary Round chaired by an eminent panel selected 21 contestants. These 21 contestants went through a grueling grooming session for 7 days. A once in a lifetime experience for all. From leadership to make - up, from hair care to fashion, from theatrics to group tasks to total fun and frolic, they had it all.

The Grand Finale of Vivel Miss Kerala 2009, . . . the most glamourous event of all was held at Le Meridian Convention Centre, Cochin on 5th August 2009.

The 21 contestants were personally trained by an established pageant trainer Mayuri Joshi, former Miss Pune and a successful Corporate Trainer from Pune .The pageant was choreographed by Sameer Bhayani from Mumbai, the man behind the Provogue Campaign, 2005, which launched bollywood biggies like John Abraham, Aryan Ved, Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea as models.
